Oswald does it for Clear Lake

Does size and speed matter in recruiting. The answer to that is yes and no – especially when you have a player like Houston Clear Lake receiver/athlete Scott Oswald on the field.
Oswald might not be the biggest – he’s only 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds – and he’s not the fastest with a self-reported time of 4.6-seconds in the 40-yard dash. But there is no discounting the play-making ability that he brings to the table.

Oswald earned district most valuable player honors as junior at quarterback. Earned second-team all-district honors as a sophomore at receiver. This past season he racked up 780 yards rushing, 331 yards passing and 460 yards rushing. He could project as an option specialist in some programs, but most schools are looking at him as a receiver.
“I’m very quick,” he said. “I might not be the fastest, but I’m good at finding open space in defense.”
What’s also impressive about Oswald is a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
That along with his ability to play on the field is attracting early attention from Air Force, Nebraska, Stanford, Texas Tech, TCU and Harvard.
