OSU, PSU in R250 WR Harris’ visit plans

Rivals250 wide receiver Jaylen Harris is close to scheduling additional recruiting visits. He has dates in October set aside to see a couple of schools in his top five.

“I’m going down to Ohio State this Saturday for the Indiana game as an unofficial,” Harris reported. “I know the fans are going to come out and it will be a nice crowd. Ohio State should come out with the win. I have been down there a couple times, and it is the same every time.”

The Ohio State trip is the only one Harris has locked in, but he could make his first official visit later this month.

“The only school that I have talked about a good time to take one with is Penn State,” Harris said. “They want me to come down for Oct. 22 against Ohio State. I looked at my schedule and I don’t have a game that day, so we could make that happen.”

Ohio State and Penn State are part of a top five Harris named over the summer that also includes Alabama, Michigan State and Tennessee. He confirmed that top five remains intact, and expects to take additional official visits before making his final decision.

“I have been down to Ohio State a lot and I’ve been down to Tennessee a lot,” he said. “I have been to Michigan State, but my parents haven’t gone to Michigan State so I am going to take an official there so my parents can see East Lansing. I know I am going to get down to Bama, but I’m not for sure (when) yet.”

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Harris has close to 500 receiving yards and four touchdowns for a 4-2 Cleveland Heights team this season.
