OSU, KSU top list of Texas DE

Dallas (Texas) Carter defensive end Ryan Johnson currently is favoring two Big 12 schools.
“Oklahoma State and Kansas State are at the top of my list right now,” the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Johnson said. “I like both of those schools quite a bit. They are also pretty close to home. That is a key important thing for me.”

Johnson currently has scholarship offers from Oklahoma State, Kansas, Arizona and Baylor.
“Those are the only schools I have offers from,” he said. “But, I have lots of other schools that have called.”
Those schools include Kansas State, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, Iowa, Tulane, Michigan and Northwestern.
Johnson has not lined up any official vists to date.
“I’m not sure when I’ll do that,” he said. “I need to find out when our season is over and work around that with the schools. So, it may be a little while until I can visit anywhere.”
Johnson has helped to lead Carter to a 5-0 record on the season.
“I have made 33 tackles and four quarterback sacks. I feel like I’m playing very well. I just need to keep taking care of my assignments and everything else will continue.”
