OSU adds another Texan

Oklahoma State is making a living out of recruiting players in the state of Texas and prospects ranked in the Rivals.com Texas top 100. The latest addition for the Cowboys comes from the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex.
“I’m a Cowboy,” Irving McArthur cornerback Brent Nickerson said. “I always had OSU at the top of my list and when they came through with an offer, it was an easy decision for me to make.”

Nickerson, who is 6-foot and 185 pounds, is ranked as the No. 72 player in the state by Rivals.com. He also had scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Washington State and Tulsa, but in the end playing in the Big 12 for OSU was just too good to pass up.
“It’s a great fit for me,” he said. “I can be close to home, but also be a little bit away. OSU is also one of the top up-and-coming programs in the Big 12.”
Nickerson had 38 tackles, three interceptions and seven pass breakups as a junior.
