Oruwariye trims his list, planning visits

Three-star cornerback Amani Oruwariye of Tampa (Fla.) Gaither released his top ten earlier this week, but a few of these schools may be standing out more than the others as they are in the process of receiving visits from the talented junior.
Not in any order, Oruwariye announced that Louisville, Central Florida, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Iowa State, Wake Forest and South Florida make up his top ten.

"I'm starting to plan a lot of visits with different schools over the summer," said Oruwariye, who is 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds. "I'm going to Vanderbilt on July 12th-14th and I'm working something out with Louisville, Rutgers and Georgia Tech."
All of these trips will be for visits and not camps, which should give him plenty of time to better familiarize himself with the programs.
"I hope to find somewhere with a good atmosphere that I get comfortable with," he said. "I also want to talk to the players during the visit and see their mindset."
Oruwariye was asked if the schools he is planning to visit stand out above some of the others in his top ten.
"Yeah, I guess you can say that," he said. "I wouldn't go somewhere that I wasn't interested in."
As he begins to trim his list of schools down, Oruwariye is also beginning to think about a time frame for his final decision.
"Maybe by the end of the summer," he said. "If not, probably the beginning of the season."
This off-season, Oruwariye mentioned that he has spent plenty of time in the weight room and is also working on improving his speed and overall awareness on the field.
