Oregon WR makes the call

Beaverton (Ore.) Southridge wide out Mitch Mathews picked up early offers from UNLV and BYU. The talented receiver was on the campus of one of his early favorites and decided to pull the trigger and committed.
"I committed to BYU this morning," Mathews said. "I met with Coach Mendenhall this morning at the BYU camp and decided to commit. I'm really exciting about this opportunity and feel BYU is a great fit for me."

Mathews, 6-5, 185 pounds attended the Cougars Junior Day two weeks ago, which is where he was originally offered the scholarship.
"I've always liked BYU a lot," Mathews said. "I love the coaching staff, the school and my brother being there is a huge plus. Ever since we were young, we always wanted to play together in college and now we'll have that chance.
"I didn't see any reason to wait. I knew BYU was the best place for me so it just made sense to commit now and get it out of the way."
