Oregon State Looking Good For Cali OL

West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade offensive lineman Adam Speer will take his first official visit of the season this up coming weekend and we’re guessing it will be his last. Speer will visit Oregon State and there’s a good chance the Beavers will get a commitment from the talented lineman.
Speer, 6-4, 270 pounds has had back top back big seasons for Chaminade and finished his senior season with over 100 pancake blocks and zero sacks allowed. He plays tackle in high school but will likely play center in college, the position he played this past week during the CaliFlorida Bowl practices.

Speer has a nice combination of size, strength and quickness and has the kind of mean streak you like to see in an offensive lineman. He had three pancake blocks in the 1st half of the CaliFlorida Bowl game and is the type of player you never have to worry about finishing his blocks. He had standout showings at the NorCal Nike Camp and team camps at UCLA, USC and Notre Dame.
Oregon State offered Speer early in the recruiting process and is looking very good at this time.
“I’m looking forward to my visit this weekend,” Speer said. “Oregon State offered me and stood by me all season. There’s a good chance I’ll commit this weekend. I like the coaching staff there, I like the Pac 10 and I think Oregon State would be a good overall fit for me.”
