Oregon QB hopes for better times

Portland Central Catholic prospect is facing hard times.
Faino, who is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound wide receiver and free safety, has had to sit out the first four games of his senior year because he broke his right ankle in drills prior to the season.

“It’s hard. I’ve wanted to go out there and do things, but it just wasn’t possible,” Faino explained.
The injury may also have hurt his chances in earning more attention from college recruiters. While colleges like Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona State and Montana still call, only Montana has offered a scholarship so far.
But Faino gets his chance to show colleges what he can do this weekend. With his injury healed, he’ll be back in the lineup on Friday as a starter.
“I can’t wait,” he said.
Neither can the college coaches who were waiting to evaluate Faino’s play as a senior before making a decision whether or not to make him a scholarship offer.
