Oregon picks a plum from SoCal

One of the reasons that the Oregon Ducks have been so successful in the last ten years is their ability to evaluate sleeper or unheralded talent and then turn those same players into big time Pac10 players. T
They especially have done a great job in Orange County, California and once again the Ducks have flown south to pick up a prospect with tremendous upsides.

The latest player from Orange County to join the Duck cause is tight end Dan Kause (6-4, 250, 4.7) from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite.
Kause was hurt his junior year with a broken thumb but that didn’t stop Fresno State from an early offer this past spring and was getting letters from UCLA, USC and Syracuse.
Kause helped his cause by having an outstanding senior season. He came on strong as a senior catching 20 passes for 331 yards and one touchdown. He also did a nice job blocking.
Kansas also had an offer on the table and ASU made a run for but fell short to the Oregon Ducks.
Oregon once again picked a plum out of southern California. Good get for the Ducks.
