Oregon lands SoCal RB

It was check in day this morning for the California team representing the state in the CaliFlorida Bowl. When we saw Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey running back Jeremiah Johnson, he had a big smile on his face and said he had some big news to share.
"I committed to Oregon last night," Johnson said. "I knew last Friday but talked to Coach Belotti last night to get everything squared away. I'm excited about it, I always liked Oregon, they were the first school to offer me and have been recruiting me the most consistently.

"I was going to take a few trips before making my decision but I didn't want to risk losing my spot and knew that Oregon was the best fit for me so there was no need to put it off. I'll be taking my visit on (Jan. 7) and that visit is the only one I'll be taking."
Johnson, 5-10, 185 pounds is one of the top backs in the state and has been for the last three seasons. He has a nice burst and runs hard. He doesn't have great speed but does have good speed and is very quick hitting the hole.
