Oregon joins mix for Carrington

Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton three-star safety Devon Carrington added another Pac 10 offer to his resume on Tuesday, making an already difficult decision even tougher.
"My coach, Steve Belles, told me that my offer from Oregon came today," Carrington, who is ranked as the nation's No. 26 safety prospect, said.

"I'm really excited about the offer. Oregon is a very solid program."
Carrington now has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Stanford. Other schools like Oklahoma, Oregon State, USC and UCLA are still showing heavy interest.
Most recently Carrington said Notre Dame and Stanford as the two schools recruiting him the heaviest to this point. He plans to visit South Bend this summer and will be in Palo Alto on May 27.
Hamilton went 13-1 last season, finishing on a 12-game win streak that netted the program its fourth state title in the last decade.
