Oregon impresses Pipho
La Porte (Iowa) Union three-star offensive tackle Matt Pipho took his first official visit of the recruiting season to Oregon this past weekend, and if first impressions mean anything, the Ducks will be a factor in the end.
“It went really good,” Pipho said. “I liked their facilities and the coaches and players were really great. It’s a pretty nice neighborhood, too. The facilities were really impressive. I would put them up there with anybody in the nation.”

Pipho said he does not have anything on the table for this upcoming weekend, but he’s starting to sort things out for January. Stanford was set up for January 7, but Pipho has yet to hear from Walt Harris or any of the new coaches on the Cardinal coaching staff.
“I’m still set to visit Miami on January 14,” he said. “And I think Oklahoma is getting more serious about its interest in me.”
