Oregon, Cal lead for three-star TE

Along with being one of the top tight ends in the region, Auburn (Wash.) Auburn-Riverside three-star tight end David Paulson is also one of the top overall players in the Pacific Northwest. Ranked as the No. 9 player in Washington, Paulson has an impressive list of scholarships offers on his resume.
"I just got back from a couple trips to Cal and then Oregon last week," Paulson said.

"Oregon was preview day so there were a bunch of guys there, but I got to talk to some of the guys committed there and some of the other prospects interested in Oregon. I got to talk to the coaches quite a bit and some of the players so I enjoyed it."
"Cal was good, too. It was just me and Kellen Kiilsgaard down there. Me, him, and the coaches talked for a long time about things. We talked to some academic advisors. We took a look around the whole campus and got a feel for what it's like."
The offer list is quite impressive for Paulson, who is 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds.
"Washington, Oregon, Oregon State Cal, Idaho and Eastern Washington are the schools that have offered me," he said. "Oregon and Cal are my top two schools at this point. I plan to take an official visit to both of those schools later this year."
Paulson said he's not in a huge rush to make a commitment, and he's already thinking of some of the things that his dream school must have.
"I'm going to take some trips and decide later which school I want to go to," he said. "It's probably just going to come down to how comfortable I feel and how I fit in with the school. I plan on going in and competing wherever I go so competition isn't going to matter to me.
"I have a couple Thursday games during the season so I think I'll be taking my visits on those weekends. I'm not sure of the schools I'm going to visit besides Oregon and Cal. The others are up in the air."
