Oregon atmosphere impresses Green

Woodbury (Minn.) East Ridge four-star 2016 quarterback Seth Green earned an offer from Oregon after an earlier visit to Eugene in June. Saturday he was back to take in the Duck's showdown with Michigan State.
"Saturday morning we flew out, got there and did a mini-tour," Green said. "I was in the locker room before the game and got to see them go out for the game. I got to be around the players more and that was good. I just got to go there and enjoy the fun parts.

"It was crazy, honestly. I had never experienced anything like that before. With College Gameday, all the fans there, the top 10 Week 2 game and especially with how the start of the game went, it was really exciting."
The June visit gave Green a chance to check out the facilities and campus, but he did not get the full experience of Autzen Stadium until Saturday's visit.
"It was probably one of the best atmospheres I have ever experienced in my life," Green said. "It was crazy how the fans are dedicated and doing everything they can to help the team."
The 6-foot-3, 203-pound quarterback's attention naturally gravitated to Oregon's quarterback, Marcus Mariota, and his play on Saturday.
"It (impressed) me that he was able to keep the team going when they got down in the second quarter," Green said. "He kept working, kept doing his job and the whole team started doing their job together."
When the game was not going on, Green was able to spend time with Oregon coaches Scott Frost, Erik Chinander and Jim Fisher. His interest in the Ducks was high going in, and increased following the visit.
"It raises it a lot because I got a better feel for the program," Green said. "Obviously the more you visit somewhere, the more comfortable you are and the more you learn about a program. Just going out there for game day, especially that big of a game, really showed a lot about their program."
Coincidentally, Michigan State had offered Green last Monday, so the game visit gave him a chance to see two schools on his list.
"During the game I got to watch them and that was pretty cool too going there with offers from both places," Green said. "I'm not going to lie, I was mostly focused on Oregon, but I watched them and they were looking good, showed a lot of upside and positives."
Green has yet to schedule his next game visit. Other offers have come from Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Minnesota, Pitt, Toledo and Wisconsin.
