Oregon ATH has in-state leader

One of the top athletes in the Northwest on both sides of the ball is Beaverton's (Ore.) Jake Fetzer. Fetzer plays running back and defensive back in high school but worked out with the receivers at the Nike camp in Oregon and could play on either side of the ball.
Fetzer, 6-2, 210 pounds has college size right now and showed good athleticism at the Nike camp where he clocked a 4.67 in the 40, 4.07 in the shuttle and jumped 29 inches in the vertical. In the position and one on one drills, the athlete was rated among the top two receivers in the camp and we expected colleges from all over the West to be recruiting him pretty heavily. So far, that hasn't been the case.

"I've gotten calls from Montana, Portland State and Oregon State," the No. 6 ranked player in Oregon said. "Portland State has offered me and they're recruiting me as a safety. Oregon State and Montana are recruiting me as a receiver. Oregon State is my favorite school right now. I've been down there several times and love the atmosphere and coaching staff.
"Coach Burton (OSU DB coach) is coming by the school on Friday so we'll see what happens. I don't have any visits set up right now but I'll get around to that later in the year."
