Oregon allures Rivals100 running back

THE LATEST: Despite his one-time standing as an Oregon State commit, it seems it was the other program in the state that had Camron Davis’ heart. After recently earning an offer from Oregon, the now-uncommitted running back fired off some strong words about the school.

Davis, a Rivals250 prospect, called it his “dream offer.” He went on to say that turning down the Ducks might be a difficult task.

“I’m a fan of Oregon and have been a fan since I was little. I’ve been looking up to LeGarrette Blount since he was at Oregon. That's the dream for me."

According to Davis his decision to part ways with Oregon State has led to a recent surge in scholarship offers. Davis says that other coaches were hesitant to offer him as long as he was a Beavers commit. Since that’s changed, however, so too has his recruiting stock.

Wisconsin recently made things official with Davis and the four-star running back is interested in the program’s running back past.

“I know a lot about the running backs they had,” Davis said of Wisconsin. “Montee Ball, Melvin Gordon; they’ve had a lot of good running backs there.”

IN HIS WORDS: “Oregon is the dream school, but I just … I don’t know about actually going to the dream school.”

RIVALS REACTION: Oregon will likely be in the mix for Davis until the end, but it won’t be easy to get him to travel across the country for college. Louisville and Ohio State may get involved in the coming months. Miami could also become a player if the hurricanes’ decide to pursue Davis. He’s by no means a lock to the Ducks.
