Orangemen looking good in CT

Hamden, Conn. defensive tackle Eric Ball had a favorite heading into the month of January, but things have apparently changed.
"I might commit to Syracuse this weekend if I like my visit," said the 6-foot-5, 290-pound standout. "They told me that they'd take me even if I don't qualify while BC is talking about prep school. I would prefer to play and enroll right away rather than wait, so if I like it up there I could commit."

Ball has visits set with Iowa (Jan. 17), Boston College (Jan. 24) and Penn State (Jan. 31) but might not need them.
"I haven't received my test score from December yet so I don't know if I've qualified or not," he said. "Syracuse told me that if I like it, I should wait too long at this time of year because space runs out quick. If BC can't tell me they'll take me before this weekend or soon, I'll be wearing Orange I think."
Ball doesn't want to go far from home which is why this battle should come down to 'Cuse and BC.
"Iowa and Penn State are probably too far," he said. "I still might need those visits though, nothing is set in stone."
