Orangemen added to WRs visit list

Three-star Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby wide receiver Del Roberts says a pair of his former teammates were the main reasons for adding a new school to his list of official visits.
“I’m going to visit Syracuse on Jan. 23,” he said. “I’ve been considering them for a while now since two of our old players, Landel Bembo and Marcus Clayton, are up there. They really like it up there, and told me I should come up and play with them. I talk to ‘Gator’ (Clayton) on the phone every now and then. He says it’s a great place to go to school.”

Roberts (5-9, 165, 4.4) also has visits set up for Iowa (12/19) and North Carolina (1/16). He’s looking at Michigan State, Nebraska and Louisville for the final two.
“I’ll probably go to Michigan State,” he said. “I’m getting a lot of attention from them right now. They haven’t offered yet, but they’re talking like they will. My recruiting coach said they just need the head coach to look at the film and decide.”
Lousiville also has a decent shot, he added, due to the presence of about eight Tallahassee area players on the Cardinals' roster.
Is there a favorite at this point?
“I really like North Carolina, but I’m still open to all of those schools,” he said. “I’m looking forward to going up to Iowa and seeing what it’s like.”
As a senior, Roberts hauled in 69 passes for 1,053 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had a punt return for a score.
Academically, he maintains a 2.8 GPA and a 16 on the ACT.
