Oquendo has two officials set

Safety/wide receiver Danny Oquendo has two official visits set up, and he could be close to setting up two or three others. What trips does he plan on making later on this year?
"Right now I'm pretty sure I'll be taking official visits to Maryland around Dec. 10 and to Rutgers the next week around Dec. 17. I think we're close to setting up two or three more visits, and I'd probably take those during the season rather than later. But those are the only two I'm positive about."

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound athlete from Hackensack, N.J. runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and is rated the No. 31 safety in the nation. Which schools lead for his services?
"My top five is Maryland, Rutgers, Boston College, Virginia Tech and Pitt," said Oquendo. "Ideally I'll be able to take official visits to all five of those schools, and that's what we're going to try to make happen. I want each of them to have an equal opportunity to tell me what they want me to hear. I have about 12 offers right now, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up at one of those five schools I just mentioned."
When can we expect a decision from Oquendo?
"I was actually thinking about maybe making a verbal commitment in late September or early October if everything feels right, but that's just a possibility. If I don't feel like the time is right then I'll most likely just take my official visits and decide after the season."
