ONeal misses another visit

Oakland (Calif.) Skyline linebacker Kyler O'Neal picked up a pair of offers from two Big 12 programs back in the summer and we figured he would be a Buffalo or a Corn Husker. Both schools have filled up and it now looks like the athlete could be staying closer to home to play his college ball.
O'Neal, 5-11, 190 pounds first two offers were from Big 12 powerhouses Colorado and Nebraska. The original plan was for the 'backer to visit both schools during the season and make his commitment before Christmas.

The plan was changed when O'Neal moved his visits back to after the football season and by the time he was ready to take them, both schools had filled up at his position.
"He was supposed to visit Nebraska this past weekend," Warrior coach Alonzo Carter said. "Unfortunately, they filled up, which is what I knew would happen because they offered so many players. Same thing happened with Colorado.
"Right now, Kyler has a visit set with San Jose State for this coming weekend and I have some film going out to a few other schools like Idaho and Nevada as well. A lot of the schools were waiting for him to score a little higher on his SAT before jumping on him.
"He has an 860 right now and is qualified for some schools but his GPA is a little lower so other schools would like him to score closer to 900. We'll see what happens, he'll take his visit this weekend and we'll just go from there."
