Geordon Porter has been super busy this month landing major offers and taking important visits.

The three-star from Etiwanda, Calif., found time in recent days to take an unofficial trip to UCLA where he got to spend more time with the coaching staff, see the facilities and get a much better feel for how he’d be used in the offense.

It was worthwhile to head to Westwood.

“What really stood out was the new and now finished facilities,” Porter said. “The coaches were great and showed me their offense and what they are trying to accomplish. Chip Kelly says he wants to run the offense he ran in the NFL.”

As for where the Bruins stand in Porter’s recruitment, the Etiwanda standout still has one last visit before finalizing things but the wide-open offense should suit the speedy receiver.

“I could see myself being able to use a lot of my speed and quickness in that offense,” Porter said.

It has been a wild month for Porter, who plans to visit Texas A&M this weekend. The former Notre Dame pledge saw Tennessee in recent weeks and Arizona State, Utah and possibly some others remain involved in his recruitment.

January was a hectic month of offers as well. The three-star receiver landed offers from Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Oregon State, Florida and Texas A&M all offered during that time.
