One stands out for Fla. LB

Antwon Higgs is an active linebacker prospect from Pompano Beach (Fla.) High School. Last season as a junior Higgs racked up 120 tackles and six sacks playing middle linebacker.
"I just make the play and go get the ball," Higgs said. "I am a good tackler. I can get the little guys that like to shake and the big guys that try and test me. I can also cover pretty well. I know I could work on my speed and just getting off blocks better.
"Most teams like me as a strong side guy. Some like me at defensive end but I have never put my hand down."
According to Higgs he currently has 14 scholarship offers - Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Florida International, Louisville, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Purdue, Florida Atlantic, N.C. State, Arkansas State, and Kansas State. But his first one stands out above all the others.
"South Carolina was the first team to offer and they are my favorite. I love Eric Norwood and how he excels. I have a friend up there (Donte Nichols). I have not been but will visit (official) there for sure this fall.
"I also like all the other schools that have offered and I have not ruled anyone out. I will make a decision after the season and after I take all my visits."
Higgs has made one unofficial visit this summer to Florida. He visited Gainesville two weeks ago.
"It was a good visit. They have a huge campus. Florida has everything there. I also had a chance to meet with most of the coaches including coach (Urban) Meyer."
Higgs also camped at FAU (team camp) and was the coaches' selection for the camper of the week.
He hopes to graduate in December and enroll in college in January. Higgs carries a 3.7 grade point average.
