One school at top for Texas RB

Buda (Texas) Hays running back Amadeus Waters has several schools keeping a close eye on him and one of them has emerged as the favorite for his talents at this point.
"Oklahoma State, TCU, Houston and SMU are the ones that have been really keeping an eye on me," the 5-foot-10, 210-pound Waters said. "They've been staying in touch really quite a bit.

"Oklahoma State is my favorite school. They have had a lot of good backs there like Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders for just a couple. And they have a good program and a new coaching staff. Houston is right behind them. I know Coach (Art) Briles is a pretty good coach. They've talked to my coach quite a bit."
Waters played both ways for Hays last season as a safety and as a running back.
"I played both ways. I had about 800 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. On defense I had 63 tackles on defense. This year I will play only on offense. That will help my numbers go up just by me being in there regulary."
Waters has not received any scholarship offers.
"Nobody has offered scholarships, yet. I think someone will this spring or summer. I am going to Oklahoma State's camp. I'll probably go to SMU and Houston's camps, too."
