One on top for Murray

Tampa (Fla.) King wide receiver Chris Murray made his way to Bowling Green, Kentucky to check out Western Kentucky University. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound wideout enjoyed the camp experience and learning more about the Hilltoppers.
"It was a great experience," Murray said. "The coaches were great. The campus was nice. What I heard about the academics was good. The players were really welcoming and most of them were from Florida. It was just a great experience."

Murray talked about the feedback he received from the coaching staff following his camp performance.
"They said I can play," Murray said. "They want me to be a part of their team. They said I would have a shot to come in and start as a freshman."
Accompanying Murray on the visit was his quarterback Greg Windham. Both are top targets for the Western Kentucky staff. What is the likelihood the two play for the same college?
"I would love to play with him in college," Murray said. "It is a possibility that we go to the same school to play together. I would love that."
Murray holds offers from Bethune-Cookman, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Ohio, Washington State, and Western Kentucky. He claims an early leader amongst those schools.
"Western Kentucky is my leader," Murray said.
Prior to visiting Western Kentucky, Murray had camped at Florida State and Miami. He is hoping to take some additional trips in the coming months.
"I was scheduled to go to Ohio for a camp but I am not sure I am going there yet," Murray said. "I still want to go to see Kansas and Iowa State. I am just not sure yet when I will get there."
Murray says a final decision will likely come from him around the midway point of his senior season.
During his junior season, Murray recorded 27 receptions for 493 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed for 48 yards on 10 carries and scored another touchdown. Defensively, he had 22 tackles, five interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
