One offer for Morehart

2014 defensive end Connor Morehart of Shillington (Pa.) Governor Mifflin has had a very successful off-season, which resulted in his first offer. Now he is hoping for more offers as he prepares for his junior season.
"Recruiting is good," said Morehart, who is 6-foot-4 and 270-pounds. "It slowed down after the Rutgers offer, but it really picked up since then."

There are a number of other schools besides Rutgers coming after Morehart at this time.
"Penn State came to my school like two or three times, Ohio State came to my school and so did Stanford, Rutgers, Maryland, Notre Dame and a few others," he said.
With Rutgers being his first offer, Morehart shared his thoughts on the Scarlet Knights.
"I love them," said Morehart. "Their coaches are awesome, the facilities are great and it's just a great overall environment."
Earlier this summer Morehart attended camps at Rutgers, Penn State and Maryland.
"They were all great," he said. "I really liked the Penn State one. I learned a lot at all three."
Morehart will also look to visit a couple of schools during the fall.
"As of now I'm visiting Penn State and Rutgers," said Morehart. "I would like to visit as many as possible or whoever has interest in me."
As more interest and offers are likely to come his way in the coming months, Morehart will keep his eyes open for a few things.
"I'm looking for a school with good tradition, a well-rounded academic program and nice coaches," he said. "I'm also looking for somewhere I fit in great. Right now I am totally open-minded and just want to visit as many schools as possible."
Morehart will see time this fall on both the defensive and offensive lines, and that is carrying over to his recruiting process.
"I was offered by Rutgers based on my defensive film, but some schools are saying offensive line," said Morehart. "I definitely prefer defensive line."
With his season starting tomorrow night against Wilson, Morehart is more than ready to hit the field.
"I started playing offensive so I am working very hard right now," he said. "I put about 60 pounds on in the off-season. The biggest game of our season is Friday night. We have a huge rivalry there and there is even a traveling trophy, so I'm excited beyond words."
Morehart will play strong side defensive end and right tackle this season for Governor Mifflin.
