One of two trips in the books for Niutei

After de-committing from UTEP, Euless (Texas) Trinity defensive tackle Henry Niutei shifted his focus closer to home and that started with two visits. One was this past weekend to SMU.
Niutei will take his second trip to TCU on Jan. 13, but this past weekend he got to see one of the schools on his short list.

"It was fun," Niutei said about SMU. "I got there and we got to eat a lot. I had a chance to meet some of the guys and see the dorms and stuff. Then we toured around the school and that was really nice. I could see myself going to a place like that."
Sunday morning, the 6-foot-3, 250-pound defender had a chance to speak with head coach Phil Bennett.
"Coach told me that they've got an offer for me and whenever I decide to just let them know," Niutei said. "I thought about committing, but I want to see how it is at TCU first. Both are good programs and plus SMU offers a great education."
"I'm excited to see what TCU has to offer and then go from there."
