Defensive tackle Cameron Elisara (6-3, 275, 4.9) from Spokane (Wash.) Ferris has seen his stock skyrocket over the month of May but has decided to put an end to his recruitment.
Elisara decided to stay close to home and committed to Ty Willingham and the Washington Huskies.
The Huskies gain the services of Elisara over offers from the likes of Arizona State, Oregon, Stanford, Arizona, Cal, Idaho, Boise State, New Mexico State, Colorado, Nebraska, Northwestern and LSU.
"The bottom line is it just felt right," Elisara said regarding his verbal commitment to the Huskies. "When you know it's right, it's right."
"My Dad (former WSU Cougar Matt Elisara) always said that they would to Seattle if I decided to go to Washington," Elisara said. "I talked to my Dad today and not to move to Seattle because when I come home to Spokane it will feel like going home."
"If my parents decide to move in a couple of years then it will be alright," Elisara said. "My Dad is extremely excited about my decision."
"I'm going to go for a swim and relax right now," Elisara said. "But I am very excited to be a Husky."
In only four games as a junior, Elisara racked up 35 tackles and 10 sacks. His 10 sacks projects to a 25 sack season or more. His short-lived season still saw him earn all-league honors in 2004.
