Junior to Watch: Aaron Perez

Position: Place-kicker/Punter
Size and Speed: Bates stands 6-foot-4, weighs 210 pounds and runs the 40 in 4.6.
Honors: Perez was selected all-state, all-CIF, all-area and all-league as a junior.
Statistics: Perez will probably see his first action as a punter where he averages 41.2 yards per punt. He had a long of 64 yards while his career long punt is 80 yards.
Favorite Colleges: Perez is getting attention from schools like UCLA, Stanford, USC, Washington, Michigan, Colorado and more.
Skinny: It has been said by many that Aaron Perez is the best kicker on the west coast. Perez does all the kicking for Charter Oaks. He kick-offs, punts, kicks field goals, extra points and punts.
“Aaron has a powerful leg and consistently kicks the ball out of the end zone,” Charter Oak head coach Lou Farrar said.
The lucky school that signs Perez will be getting a player who could also play on the soccer team. He is also a junior Olympic goalie.
“Aaron is the Nolan Ryan of kickers,” Farrar said. “He has a steal leg. He can kick all day long and never tires.”
“Aaron is as good a kicker as you can find,” Farrar said. “He can do it all. He is also a great pooch kicker.”
Perez is a great student, good enough to be pursued by the Ivy’s, he carries a 4.12 GPA.
