One more visit for Lewis

Oxnard (Calif.) Rio Mesa athlete Malachi Lewis took an official visit to Georgia Tech this past weekend. Lewis will take his 5th and final official visit this coming weekend before it's decision time.
Lewis, 6-3, 205 pounds is one of the most versatile players in the state. He has the ability to play a number of positions in college including running back, wide receiver, safety, linebacker or even H-back. We think linebacker is where Lewis projects best at the next level.

On the recruiting front, Lewis has taken official visits to Oregon, Mississippi and Cal and checked out Georgia Tech this past weekend.
"I liked Georgia Tech a lot," Lewis said. "I had a great visit and liked everything I saw there. I didn't know a lot about the school prior to the visit and was really impressed with not just the football side of things but the academics and just how nice the campus is as well.
"I want to major in Computer Science and Tech has a great program. Their facilities are as good as it gets and I really got along well with the players and coaches there. They're recruiting me as an offensive player and it sounds like I'll be used as a running back primarily but will also be used quite a bit as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
"Coach Collins is coming over for a home visit tonight and then I'll take my final official visit to Arizona State this weekend. Right now, I really don't have a leader. I like all the schools that I visited and I haven't attempted to narrow my list down yet.
"After I visit ASU this weekend, then I'll sit down and try and narrow my list down to a couple of schools. I don't have a timetable or anything as far as when I'll make my commitment, just whenever I know what I'm doing, then I'll go ahead and make my decision."
