One more visit for Bolden

Ontario (Calif.) Colony defensive Omar Bolden has set his announcement date for Signing Day, February 7. Before his announcement, Bolden will have an important in-home visit later tonight and possibly one last official visit this coming weekend.

Bolden, 6-1, 2055 pounds is a tremendous talent and one of the elite athletes in the West. He could play running back, safety or cornerback in college and we love his upside as a physical, lock down corner in college.

Bolden has taken official visits to UTEP, Washington State, Arizona State and Oregon State thus far. The Sun Devils and Beavers have clearly separated themselves in that group but one school close to home could make some noise before this one is over.

"USC is coming in for a home visit later tonight," Bolden said. "Coach Watson is coming and if they offer me, I will take my last official visit this weekend. I've always liked SC a lot and it would be great to have them as an option.

"They have been recruiting me off and on all year but have stepped it up a little recently. I've been to the campus before and camped with them this summer. If they do offer, that doesn't mean I'm automatically going there but they would be very high on my list.

"I'm not planning to make my decision until Signing Day. Fox Sports is having a Signing Day special that night and I'm going to be announcing my decision on the show. That should be fun and I'm looking forward to it. Right now of the schools I've visited, Oregon State and ASU are way up there but if SC offers, they will be right there as well."

We'll try and check back in with Bolden later tonight to find out if SC indeed offered and will get a visit.
