West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade quarterback Chris Turner will take one last visit this weekend to Maryland but it's going to take a lot for anyone to catch Louisville in this one.
Turner, 6-4, 200 pounds is a talented quarterback who should do very well at the next level. He has already taken official visits to UTEP, and Louisville and will head back east this weekend.
"Maryland has a chance," Turner said. "I'm going in to this visit with an open mind but at the same time, its' going to take a lot to beat out Louisville. I'm basically taking this visit to try and find a reason not to go to Louisville.
"Louisville is just a great option for me. They have a great offense, I like Coach Petrino and his staff a lot and they only return one scholarship quarterback next year, Brian Brohm. So if I end up there, I'll have a chance to compete for backup minutes right away. Distance isn't a factor for me either, I just think it's a great overall fit but I want to take this visit first to have one other trip to compare Louisville to and then I should be ready to make my decision when I get home. I don't really have a set time or anything, just when it comes to me and it feels right, I'll go ahead and get it done."
Turner also set up a visit to Utah, who just offered, for the weekend of (Jan. 21) but said more than likely, the visit to Maryland will be his last one before he pulls the trigger.
