One last visit for Edison

Los Angeles (Calif.) Verbum Dei defensive lineman Justin Edison firmed up his commitment in the last 24 hours to Oregon State after strongly considering Cal. Even so, the rush end will take one last official visit this coming weekend.
Earlier in the week, Edison told us if Signing Day was this week, he wouldn't be able to make up his mind between the Beavers and Bears. That has changed.

"I'm firm to Oregon State," Edison said. "When we talked before, I just had my in-home visit with Cal and was a little confused on what to do. After I thought about it more, I realized that Oregon State was where I wanted to be and I have no doubts at all about that.
"I just have such a bond with the coaches there. Cal is a great school but they came in kind of late whereas Oregon State has been on me for awhile now so I've really been able to get to know those guys so well and I'm really looking forward to playing for Coach Riley."
Despite those comments, Edison said he'll still take one last visit this weekend to UCLA.
"UCLA is a great school and this is kind of a once in a lifetime experience I'm going through," Edison said. "I at least feel I owe it to myself to check them out and see what they have to offer.
"I like Coach Walker a lot and I think I'll have a good time this weekend. I really don't see myself changing my commitment though. I'm that solid with Oregon State right now but like I said, I don't see any harm in taking just one last visit and seeing what UCLA has to offer."
