David Sims is a three-star athlete from St. Matthews (S.C.) Calhoun County. Sims, 5-11 and 205 pounds, committed to Kentucky back in September. That changed on Friday. Now he's a Yellow Jacket.
"I went to Georgia Tech for the Miami game," Sims said. "That was actually the third time I was there for a game. It's closer to home, Georgia Tech is a better fit for me and I think the program is headed in just a better direction. I also love the coaching staff, especially coach Bohanan. "I also love the city of Atlanta and it's a place where I feel real comfortable. Plus, a degree from Georgia Tech is pretty special and it would be great to fall back on if football doesn't work out."
