Olugbode looking for first offer

Kris Olugbode is doing everything he can this season to earn a Division I scholarship and the San Jose (Calif.) Bellarmine Prep is putting together an impressive senior year that has caught the eye of some college coaches.
Olugbode, a 5-foot-8, 183-pound running back, has more than 900 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns on 111 carries and he's happy with those numbers but is hoping they can translate into more interest - and possibly an offer - soon.

"I knew I'd be getting a lot of carries because that's our offense, we have a double-wing offense so we run the ball a lot and I'm just trying to show that I can play running back at the next level," Olugbode said.
Washington, Washington State, Cal, Utah, Fresno State, Colorado and Cal Poly are the most involved with Olugbode, who said Fresno State assistant coach Keith Williams is showing the most interest. Washington running backs coach Joel Thomas has also asked for tape.
Fresno State seems to be the closest to offering Olugbode, who said he's definitely interested in hearing more from the Bulldogs and hopes an offer might be coming in the near future.
"I think the closest would probably be Fresno State," Olugbode said. "I'm in contact with coach Williams the most and then Washington, I talk to coach Thomas a lot. He wants to see my tape so I send him tape every couple of weeks.
"(Williams) is pretty much saying he wants to see a little bit more film and he's going to come out to one of my games to see me play in person.
"I'm interested in anywhere I can get an offer and Fresno State seems the closest so I'm doing what I can to show the coach I'm interested and that I'd like to play there."
Bellarmine Prep is 6-0 this season. This weekend Olugbode's team faces San Jose Valley Christian, which is led by standout 2012 running back Byron Marshall, who already has offers from numerous Pac-10 teams.
