Olson hearing from Stanford

Eric Olson has offers from Connecticut, Virginia and UMass and now the Cambridge (Mass.) Buckingham Browne & Nichols offensive tackle is hearing from Stanford.
There is lots of interest in the Cardinal although he still has lots to learn about the program since he hasn't yet talked much with the coaching staff.

"Another school that has picked up interest recently, I haven't had any contact with them but I got off the phone with my high school coach, Stanford said they are interested and might be close to offering as well," Olson said.
"I haven't really spoken to any of the coaches but multiple times my coach told me they've contacted him about me and he just recently said they're very interested in learning more about me."
Olson, a 6-foot-6, 265-pound prospect, is also close to other programs like Boston College - where he visited earlier this week and is still waiting for an offer - and Michigan is also starting to show more interest.
The Cambridge standout said the Wolverines could be close to an offer and the Eagles have been recruiting him for some time.
Stanford is definitely growing on the Massachusetts standout because it offers the complete package of academics and athletics that Olson is looking for.
"One of the coaches at Harvard that knew me just got the offensive line job at Stanford and he's extremely interested in me," Olson said.
"I know it's an unbelievable school and I'm looking for a place that combines academics and athletics and Stanford really sets the bar for that."
