Olsen to open things back up
He's committed to Notre Dame, but for how long? Wayne Hills, N.J., standout quarterback Christian Olsen is looking like he's going to take a long look at other schools.
"I always said if Notre Dame fired coach Davie that I'm going to look around at other schools," Olsen said.

"The assistant athletic director called and talked with my dad this morning. I was going to visit on Dec. 7, but I guess they canceled all of the visits for that weekend."
Olsen did share some good news for Irish fans, though.
"We were told they'd have a new coach in less than 10 days," he said. "That'll be good for me so I can see if I'm going to mesh with the new coach or if I'm going to look at my other options."
Olsen said the other options at this point are teams like Iowa, N.C. State, Maryland, UCLA and Oregon.
"I'm probably going to visit N.C. State or Iowa on Dec. 7 now," Olsen said. "I need to do what's best for me, and if the new coach doesn't want me then I need to protect myself."
So leave Olsen in the committed but looking category at this point.
