"I'm really seriously thinking about Army now," said Olsen. "I've liked them all along, and was really excited to hear that Coach Ross got the job. He's called me and told me that he really wants me there next year. He's got such a good reputation, so I'm impressed with the commitment they've made to athletics."
Olsen will take an official visit to West Point on Jan. 9, and that's the only trip he has scheduled to this point. Who else is he interested in?
"I'm still getting calls from Syracuse, Northwestern and Duke," he said. "I went down to Duke during the season on an unofficial trip to see their game against NC State. They've told me that their recruiting situation is a little difficult this year, with the coaching change that's taken place.
"I'm getting calls and interest from all the Ivy League schools, and I'm in the process of sending my applications and grades up there for them to sort through. Oregon State is showing interest as well."
Olsen is an excellent student, carrying a 3.75 GPA and boasting a score of 1140 on his SAT. He plans on announcing his decision in the coming weeks.
