Olsen impressed by Notre Dame win

Rivals250 offensive tackle Eric Olsen out of Brooklyn (N.Y.) Poly Prep took notice of Notre Dame's impressive 42-21 win over Pittsburgh yesterday. What exactly did the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder think?
"My family and I watched the game very closely and it really impressed me," he said. "That's going to help them out in this process with me if they keep winning games like that. I love everything about Notre Dame, but if they're a championship contender and winning big-time games I'll be looking at them. I know they've got Michigan and Southern Cal coming up and if they keep winning that'll definitely help them."

The four-star prospect took notice of the offensive line as well.
"I definitely was watching that and it's hard to explain, but they had a demeanor and attitude about them," he said. "I think it's how coach Latina coaches them, I was really impressed with that."
Olsen hasn't begun to narrow his list of favorites yet and has not scheduled an official either.
Last weekend the No. 22 offensive tackle in the country played in a scrimmage with Poly Prep.
"I did fine and I've definitely improved on offense and even more so on defense," he said. "I'm really stepping up this year. Our defense was shutting people down, we messed up some assignments, but we're coming together and we'll be ready to go on Saturday."
