Ole Miss offers Louisiana OL

River Ridge (La.) John Curtis Christian offensive lineman Aaron Meyer has added a new scholarship offer as he prepares to open his senior season.
“Ole Miss, Colorado, UCLA, Louisville and UL-Lafayette have all called me this week,” he said. “Ole Miss has offered a scholarship.”

When asked about his assessment of the Rebels, Meyer said. “It’s a great school. I like them. I know they have a good head coach and real good fan support. I’m going to be looking at them pretty close.”
Meyer (6-3, 285, 4.9) now has offers from Ole Miss, Colorado, UCLA, Clemson, Louisville, Northwestern and UL-Lafayette. Georgia Tech and West Virginia are also in the mix, showing steady interest.
He has previously listed the Bruins and Buffaloes as his co-leaders, but may be softening a bit on that stance.
“I still like UCLA and Colorado a lot,” he said, “but I’m open to more schools now that I was earlier. I’m looking forward to taking some visits.”
Meyer hasn’t scheduled any official or unofficial visits yet.
John Curtis Christian opens the season on Thursday against John F. Kennedy. Meyer will be matched up with one of Louisiana’s top defensive linemen.
“I get Dion Gales in this game,” he said. “He lines up right over me. I’m looking forward to going head-to-head with him. From everything I’ve heard about him, it will be a good challenge.”
On the field, Meyers was a first-team all-district selection as a junior. Off it, he maintains a 3.2 GPA and has scored a 19 on the ACT.
