Another receiver in Louisiana has picked up his first scholarship offer and this time it's Destrehan's Tim Molton.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder says that he received his first scholarship offer from Ole Miss around a month ago. Since then, he's also received steady interest from schools such as LSU and Minnesota.
"It felt good," Molton said about receiving his first offer. "I felt like I was on top of the world with that first offer. I really don't know a whole lot about Ole Miss, but I will."
One school holds the early edge for Molton.
"The school I'm hoping to go to is LSU," Molton said. "I've been up there a lot and I've spent a lot of time with Jai Eugene who is from here. That's a school that I really like. I've just been up there a lot already."
The Tigers are a school that Molton says has expressed high interest in him. The talented in-state prospect says that LSU plans to come watch him in the spring and evaluate him further.
Molton had 36 receptions as a junior for 608 yards and eight touchdowns in 2006. He says that it all starts with a great combo of size and speed.
"I've got the height and I've got the speed, the footwork, and the hands," Molton said. "But at the same time, I'm practicing to get better."
