OLB Green talks Northwestern junior day

North Chicago (Ill.) junior outside linebacker prospect Kevin Green (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) was one of several in-state prospects that was in attendance at last Saturday's Northwestern University junior day event.
"I really enjoyed my visit to the Northwestern junior day," Green said. "It was a really good chance for me to get to know the coaches at Northwestern. I was hoping to get out to Michigan on Sunday, but the weather wasn't good on Sunday morning here so I passed. I'm hoping to get up to Michigan for a spring practice."

Green, who has an early offer from Bowling Green, talked about what stood out on his visit to Northwestern.
"I really liked getting to know the coaches like coach (Randy) Walker and coach (Pat) Fitzgerald. They all seem like great guys at Northwestern and I got along with them pretty well. We also had lunch with the coaches, then we also were given a presentation on the school and the academics at Northwestern. I also enjoyed watching the basketball game (Wildcats win over Penn State) and we were given first class treatment from the people at Northwestern. I'm also planning to camp at Northwestern this summer."
Green will also hit the college junior day road again this coming weekend.
"I'm going to attend junior day events on Saturday to Purdue and then on Sunday to Notre Dame. I'm also hoping to get to junior day events at Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin soon."
