OLB Green talks ND junior day

North Chicago (Ill.) junior outside linebacker prospect Kevin Green (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) was one of several Illinois based prospects in attendance at Sunday's University of Notre Dame junior day event.
"I had a really nice time at the Notre Dame junior day," Green said. "I had a chance to get to know the coaches at Notre Dame better, plus I was really impressed with the entire program at Notre Dame."

Green, who has an early offer from Bowling Green, talked about what stood out on his visit to Notre Dame.
"I really liked the coaches. I was wearing a Steelers throwback jersey and Coach (Charlie) Weis was giving me some grief about wearing that jersey, but that's just his personality and I really liked him quite a bit. We had fun all day about the throwback jersey I was wearing. I talked to several coaches on Sunday and they all seemed like really good guys. The coaches want me to send my junior tape in as soon as I can, so I'll get that out on Monday morning."
"I also liked the campus tour and the virtual tour of the new facilities. Notre Dame is in the process of renovating and adding new facilities, and once it's done they will be really impressive. I also liked how the coaches separated the prospects by position at the junior day, it gave us all a chance to get to know people a little bit better."
