OL wanted to do better at Tech camp

Houston Cy Creek offensive lineman Cody Harris had big plans for the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had even bigger plans, washing out a trip to Lake Conroe. What’s coming clean when it comes to Harris’ recruiting situation?
“I still have one scholarship offer from Houston,” Harris, who is 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, said. “Northwestern and Texas Tech have talked to me about offering but they said they’re waiting on better film.”

Speaking of Tech, Harris said he camped earlier this summer in Lubbock. It’s a trip he said he wish he would have made better plans for.
“I guess I did all right, but I wasn’t too pleased with how I did,” he said. “I think I could have done better. It was bad because I was rushed for time. I was rushed getting there and got there at the last minute and really didn’t get a chance to prepare myself or rest up. I know I could have done better and hopefully the coaches know that.”
Harris was also hoping to make it to the Northwestern camp, but with a summer class in Science to get out of the way and build upon his already impressive 3.95 grade-point average, it just didn’t happen.
Harris also said that other teams like Colorado, Kansas, LSU and Oklahoma State haven’t written him much in the last few weeks – allowing Houston, Tech and Northwestern to move up his list.
