OL to visit FSU, Tennessee

Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More offensive tackle Geoff Berniard is preparing for his first visits of the fall.
“I’ve pretty much narrowed things down to four schools, but I haven’t been to any of them yet,” he said. “I’ve got Florida State, Tennessee, South Carolina and Ole Miss in my top four, and I’m leaning to Florida State and Tennessee right now.

“I’ll be going down to those two schools in November. On the 15th, I’ll be at Florida State for the N.C. State game. And on the 22nd I’ll be going to Tennessee for the Vanderbilt game. Those two are pretty equal right now. I like their coaches and tradition a whole lot. I just want to get a better idea of what the overall schools are like, the atmosphere and academic support – all that stuff.”
Regarding Ole Miss and South Carolina, he said: "I like the coaches there. Coach Cutcliffe and coach Holtz are both really nice men, really interesting guys. And they have good, solid SEC programs."
Berniard (6-8, 320, 5.4) said he will wait until December and January to take his official visits.
“We have some dates in mind for those four schools, but I haven’t scheduled them yet,” he said.
