OL Richardson reacts to ND news

Wheaton, Ill. four star ranked offensive tackle prospect Dace Richardson (6-foot-6, 300 pounds) was definitely impressed with his first impression of former Notre Dame head coach Tyrone Willingham, so much so that Richardson had Notre Dame in the mix up until yesterday afternoon.
“I was really disappointed to hear that Coach Willingham was fired yesterday from Notre Dame," Richardson said. “I was giving some serious thought towards setting an official visit to Notre Dame with the few remaining visits that I have, but that won't happen now."

"I met Coach Willingham at a few different events over the last year or so, and I always came away really impressed with him. I liked his overall outlook and personality as well as his honesty. I wish him and his family the best."
Richardson is preparing to make his second official visit this weekend to the University of Michigan.
"I'm heading to Ann Arbor this weekend for an official visit, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what Michigan has to offer. I'm also going to Iowa on December 10th for an official visit. I had originally set an official visit to Wisconsin for December 17th, but I need to cancel that visit because my family is heading out to California for a vacation that weekend."
Could Richardson be done with taking his official visits after Iowa?
"I'm just not sure at this point, because Oklahoma is really pushing me hard to take an official visit. I just need to sit down and sort things out from a time standpoint. I'm also playing in the All American Bowl in mid January, so that will take away another possible visit weekend for me."
Richardson has had several requests for home visits from college coaches from across the country, yet Richardson won't be hosting coaches anytime soon.
"My family is just too busy at this time of the year, and I don't want to have a home visit without my family all here at the same time. I've told the coaches about my situation and they have been very understanding."
