Wheaton South offensive tackle prospect Dace Richardson (6-foot-6, 300 pounds) spent his day on Sunday at the University of Notre Dame for a junior day event, and Richardson also walked away from South Bend with an offer from the Fighting Irish.
“Notre Dame has a really nice campus," Dace Richardson said. “I was able to check out the campus and the facilities, and I was also able to talk to Coach Willingham. I really enjoyed my talk with him, and before I left Coach Willingham offered me a scholarship to Notre Dame."
"I'm very excited about getting an offer from Notre Dame. I know that Coach Willingham is a very good coach, and I'm confident that he will lead Notre Dame back to where the program was in it's heyday."
Richardson also landed a late offer from Boston College on Friday. "Boston College has also offered me a scholarship, and the paperwork came in the mail on Friday. I don't know a lot about Boston College, but I do know that they have a very solid program and I'm going to check them out."
With over 14 scholarship offers in hand this spring, has Dace Richardson started to narrow things down? "Not really. I'm going to wait until the summer before I start to narrow down my favorites."
