OL Pipho drawing in school visitors
Laporte City, Iowa offensive line prospect Matt Pipho (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) has been keeping busy this spring, throwing the shot put and the discus for Union High School.
“Track has been keeping me busy so far this spring," Matt Pipho said. “I'm still waiting for my first offer. My coach told me that both Iowa and Iowa State are scheduled to make an in-school visit this week."

"I was at the Iowa spring game a few weeks back and I really had a good time. I'm pretty familiar with Iowa City as well as with the University of Iowa, so I was able to really watch the game. I like the Iowa coaches a lot and I really enjoyed the spring game."
Pipho, who has been getting hand-written mail from several schools this spring, added that, "Both Notre Dame and Iowa have been sending me the most hand-written letters lately. I'm still getting a lot of mail, and we'll see starting on May 1st how things go once the college coaches can call."
