OL McClain no longer committed

Doylestown (Pa.) Central Bucks South offensive guard Dave McClain had committed to Maryland back in March. However, the 6-foot-4, 335-pounder is now a free agent so to speak.
"I'm wide open now," said McClain. "I'm not committed to Maryland. The only thing my family and I have decided to say about it was that it was a mutual agreement and we wish Maryland the best of luck and they wish us the best."

McClain, the No. 15 offensive guard and No. 10 player overall in Pennsylvania, has only one offer at this point, but many more should be coming.
"Temple has offered me," he said. "But Notre Dame, Miami and LSU all called when they heard I wasn't committed anymore. I'm interested in all three schools as well as Temple, Virginia Tech and Boston College. I'm also wide open, so it really depends on what schools show interest and want to offer."
McClain's team is 0-4 this season but he has 40-plus pancake blocks playing offensive tackle. He plans on taking all five official visits.
"I'm going to start setting them up now," he said. "Things have to happen pretty fast now, but there's still plenty of time."
