OL Kuempel lands his 2nd Big 12 offer

Marion, Iowa offensive tackle prospect Andy Kuempel (6-foot-7, 250 pounds) is suddenly being hotly sought after in the state of Kansas this summer, as Kansas State University today has joined the University of Kansas in offering this standout Iowa line prospect.
“I received the scholarship paperwork from Kansas State today," Andy Kuempel said. "I had talked with the Kansas State coaches a few times over the summer, and we have also been exchanging emails. A few days ago the coaches emailed me and said that they were recommending me to receive an early offer, and today I have the paperwork."

Kuempel talked about his latest offer from the Wildcats.
"I went to a one-day camp at Kansas State this summer, and I also then took a campus tour after the camp. I was really impressed with the facilities at Kansas State, and I also really enjoyed working with the coaches at the camp, especially Coach Bob Stanley who's the offensive line coach. I'm really happy to get an offer from Kansas State."
"I'm definitely going to start to do some research on Kansas State this summer. I was somewhat surprised to land an offer from the Wildcats, just because I hadn't heard much from them after the camp. The coaches said that my camp performance was very good, and that I earned the offer from going to the camp this summer. I guess my camp fee payed off today."
Kuempel has remained very busy this summer, juggling basketball and football team camps. Kuempel has started to give his football recruiting some serious thought.
"It's great to have another option. At this point it's just too early for me to make any decisions. I'm most likely going to wait until the early fall before I decide."
Kuempel also has named his early favorites.
"My favorites at this point are Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa and Iowa State. Those are the four schools I'm looking at the hardest this summer."
