OL is racking up the offers

Four-star offensive linemen Andrew Bain is getting much deserved publicity, but his Pompano Beach Ely teammate Cyrim Wimbs isn’t anything to sneeze at either. The 6-foot-5 and 309 pound offensive tackle has racked up approximately 20 scholarship offers. FlaRecruiting.com recently caught up with Wimbs to discuss his recruitment.
“I have around 20 offers now,” Wimbs said. “It seems like every team that has recruited me has offered. Some of my offers are from San Diego State, Miami, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Florida State, Ole Miss, Louisiana State, Auburn, and Mississippi State. Every team has offered me in writing except Miami and Florida State.”

Wimbs recently returned from the Miami football camp where he earned a scholarship offer.
“I talked with the coaches a lot at the camp,” Wimbs said. “They showed me around the school, and I got to talk with the head coach. After the camp, Miami called my coach and they verbally offered me. I went to their camp to get an offer.”
Wimbs told FlaRecruiting.com that he has a top four of Miami, Florida State, North Carolina and North Carolina State, and he’s open to all schools.
What is it going to take for a school to land this special talent?
“I’m going to take my visits, and then sit down with my parents,” Wimbs said. “”I need to get a feeling from my visit, and figure out what I learned from it. The school has to have my major (Business Management), and a good football program. Depth isn’t going to be a factor for me.”
